Rider Instructions

This message has been e-mailed to all entrants

Shakespeare 100 on Sunday 11 September 2011 - PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS MESSAGE as it contains important information.

1 There are TWO EVENTS STARTING AT STRATFORD PARK & RIDE (A3400/A46 junc) - Shakespeare 100 Sportive (starting at 0800)
and the MacRide starting from 0845 - both raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

2 DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 0710 - the car park gates will not be open.  Shakespeare 100 riders will be able to check in on the Saturday evening between 1700 - 1900 at the start, to save time on Sunday morning.  The start is at 0800, with staggered groups at approx. 2 minute intervals for safety (the starter will hold back the pack as necessary)

IF YOU CAN, PLEASE CYCLE TO THE SITE OR CAR SHARE. Please park tidily in the marked spaces, starting at the far end of the site (a steward will direct you).
 
4 Check-in for Shakespeare 100 will be in the Park & Ri
de car park (where there are toilets). - go to the desk for your surname initial and collect your Rider Card/Number and Route Sheet (in a bag with cable ties) - cable tie the number to the FRONT of your bike)

6 Do not take your bike to the Terminal Building at any time, leave it behind the railings (buses and P&R customers will be using the service road)

7 Rider cards and numbers are colour coded for the different event distances - follow the Route Sheet instructions - there is complete route signage (bright orange arrows) colour coded to your card where appropriate.

8 In the event of an EMERGENCY call 999 - BEFORE you call Event Control

9 There are Control Feed Stations at Great Alne and Barton-on-the-Heath (100 miles only) Village Halls where you must get your Rider Card stamped - refreshments will be on sale at modest cost (please support the village hall helpers that work so hard making the food, all of the proceeds go to the village hall)  Water, bananas etc will also be available free of charge.
 
10 When you return follow the signs to check-in to receive your medal and have your time recorded

11 Please make sure that any donation or sponsorship money is given to the check-in team on the day or sent to Macmillan's office as soon as possible, and before 1 November 2011.

There are a number of items to download on the website - pdf files for Route Sheets and Maps, as well as .gpx files for GPS users.

ENTRIES ARE CLOSED and there will be no on-the-day entries.    Check the website at  www.shakespeare100.org.uk
